MADITSSIA’S PRINT-N-PACK 2010

Report on the Exhibition

Madurai District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) is serving for the development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu for the past 36 years. MADITSSIA is organizing various Industrial Exhibitions like Print-n-Pack, INDEXPO, PLASTO RUBBER and Consumer Fair like Ideal Home Exhibition.

MADITSSIA has been organizing Print-n-Pack, Printing and Packaging Fair from the year 1996 for the development of Printing and Packaging Sector. This exhibition is conducted once in two years. The 7^th Edition of Print-n-Pack was organized at the Gandhi Museum Grounds, Madurai from September 17-20, 2010.

MADITSSIA is usually organizing this exhibition at the Tamukkam Grounds every time. But this time we have shifted to the New Venue Gandhi Museum Grounds.  We have developed new infrastructure facilities at this venue.

A team of dedicated committee members under the able leadership of Shri.Rm.Lakshminarayanan worked hard for the success of the Exhibition for the past 3 months.

 About 100 stalls participated in the exhibition and 86 companies displayed of their products.

Pre-Press, Press, Post Press and allied products and Machineries have displayed in the exhibition. Particularly Live Demonstration of post press Machinery attracted the visitors in large numbers.

The various Printing Machinery Manufacturers from Chennai, Coimbatore Madurai, Sivakasi, Thanjavur, Dindigul, Trichy, Tuticorin, Kumbakonam, have participated. In addition to this, various Machinery manufacturers from all over India , Nasik, New Delhi, Bangaluru, Thiruchur, Pondicherry, Rajkot have displayed their products in the Exhibition.

The Highlights of the Exhibitions are:

·        MADITSSIA in association with The National English Daily, The Hindu instituted Best Print Award for the Best Printing Industry.

·        The various Entries Received from Printing Industry from Coimbatore, Madurai, Sivakasi have participated in the Best Print Award Competition.

·        The Selected Best Industries were given award on 20^th September 2010 in a Grand Gala Function on the Valedictory Day of The Exhibition at the Gandhi Museum Grounds.

·        The Chief Guest for the function is Shri.S.Sivagnanam, Director, MSME Development Institute, Chennai and Mr.C.D.Kumaravel, President, Coimbatore Master Printer Association, Mr.T.Murali, Regional General Manager, The Hindu, Madurai offered Facilitation.

·        During the 3^rd Day of the Exhibition, Two Seminars have been organized for the benefit of entrepreneurs.

·        Seminar on Press Management and Costing was inaugurated by Mr.P.Sitaraman, Vice-President, MADITSSIA and the Faculty for the programme is Mr.L.Ramanathan. During the programme he explained and highlighted the Essentials of Printing industry, how to calculate the cost etc. There was a good response from the participants.

·        During the afternoon session, Mr.J.Veeranathan, handled the Session on Seminar on computer graphic Designing.  The Faculty has got a rich experience in designing and highlighted the Graphic designing concept and Techniques. The programme is well attended by 53 participants.

·        This Print-n-Pack exhibition is organized with the Support of National Small Industries Corporation Ltd, Ministry of MSME & MSME Development Institute, Tamilnadu Industries and Commerce Department, Chennai, TIIC Ltd, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank. In addition to the above, the event is supported by of Tamilnadu Master Printers Association and Madurai Printers Association.

·        Earlier the Print-n-Pack Exhibition was inaugurated by Shri.C.Kamaraj, I.A.S., District Collector, Madurai. The Exhibitor Directory was released by Shri.T.Venkateswaran, Senior Manager, NSIC Ltd, Madurai.

·        This Print-n-Pack Exhibition is the pioneer exhibition for the printing sector. We are sure that this Print-n-Pack Exhibition promoted the development of printing and packaging Sector in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu. More and more mini offset and Offset Printing Industry have newly started with the help of Print-n-Pack Exhibition.

A REPORT ON THE EXHIBITION

  

Madurai District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) is serving for the development of small and medium enterprises in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu for the past 36 years. MADITSSIA is organizing various industrial exhibitions like Print-n-Pack, Plasto Rubber, Indexpo and Consumer Fair like Ideal Home Exhibition.

MADITSSIA has been Organizing IndExpo Industrial Exhibition from the year 2008 for the development Engineering Industries. This exhibition is conducted once in two years. The 2^nd Edition of IndExpo 2011 was organized at the Tamukkam Grounds, from February 4-8, 2011 at Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai.

About 125 stalls participated in the Exhibition and displayed their products. General Engineering Products, Fabrication Machineries, Welding / Cutting Equipments, Industrial Automation, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Machine Tools, Hand Tools / Electric Power tools, Construction Equipments, Computer and Business Equipments, Printing & Packaging Machineries, mould and dies, Electrical & Electronics, Non Conventional Energy Sources etc attracted the visitors in large numbers.

The various Engineering Machinery Manufacturers from Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Bangalore, Dindigul, Tuticorin, New Delhi have participated and displayed their products.  In addition to this various machinery manufacturers from all over India have also displayed their products in the Exhibition.

v  INDEXPO 2011, Industrial Exhibition is organized with the support of National Small Industries Corporation Limited, Ministry of MSME & MSME Development Institute, Tamilnadu Industries & Commerce Department, Chennai, TIIC Ltd, TANSIDCO and SIDBI and TVS.

v  Earlier INDEXPO 2011 Exhibition was inaugurated by TANSTIA President Shri.K.Thangaraj delivered the Inaugural Address. Shri.A.V.Varatharajan, Past President, Cointec, CODITSSIA, delivered the Keynote Address. The Exhibitor Directory was released by Shri. Subodh Kumar, Executive-Program, FNF Service Centre, New Delhi.

v  During the Exhibition One day Seminar on “Modern Quality Concepts for Performance Excellence” was organized on 6^th February 2011 at MADITSSIA Hall, Madurai in association with Quality Circle Forum of India , Madurai Chapter.  The Seminar contains with live presentation by various organization members who have already got the experience in Quality Management Techniques. The Programme is moderated by                          Shri. B.Balakrishnan, Quality Circle Forum of India , Madurai Chapter.

v  During the Valedictory Function, Mr.V.Arumugam, Zonal General Manager, NSIC Ltd, Delivered Valedictory Address. Dr.Aravind Srinivasan, Chairman, CII Madurai Zone Delivered Special Address. Mr.D.S.M.Jayarajan, Hon. General Secretary, TANSTIA offered Felicitation. The best stall awards were given during the Function.

v  INDEXPO 2011, Exhibition is the pioneer Exhibition for the Engineering Industry. We are sure that this INDEXPO 2011, Industrial Exhibition Promoted the Development of Engineering Industries in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu. More and More new venture in the Engineering Field was initiated and created by this Exhibition.

26^th All India Ideal Home Exhibition

February 11 - 21, 2011, Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai

A REPORT ON THE EXHIBITION

Madurai District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) is serving for the development of small and medium enterprises in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu for the past 36 years. MADITSSIA is organizing various industrial exhibitions and consumer fair Ideal Home Exhibition for the past 25 years.

The 26^th All India Ideal Home Exhibition was organized at the Tamukkam Grounds, from February 11-21, 2011.

About 300 stalls have participated in the Exhibition and displayed their products. The Exhibition includes House hold Equipments, Electrical & Electronic Products, Readymade Garments, Fancy Make Up materials, Modern Furniture, Handicrafts, Quality Food Products, Exercise and Fitness Equipments etc. A Separate Bay is created for Delhi Products and Self Help Group, Mahalir Thittam and Handlooms.

A Special Games and amusement arrangements for Children, Daily Cultural and Entertainment Programmes attracting the visiting crowds.

Daily Luck Draw and Mega Bumper Prize on the Final Day of the Exhibition. The First Prize is Nano Car and 2nd Prize is Honda Stunner Bike and Third prize –Furniture Set. There is a Separate and exclusive Food Bay in which all the leading hotels were participated. Food Carnivals conducted to attract the crowd. Ice Cream Eating Competiion, Kadothkagen, Cake Decoration Competition were conducted in which large number of visiting crowds participated and enjoyed.

v   IDEALHOME EXHIBITION 2011 Exhibition was inaugurated by  Shri.C.Kamaraj, I.A.S.,District Collector, Madurai and delivered the Inaugural Address. Shri.KR.Gnanasambandan , Vice President, TANSTIA, delivered the Keynote Address.

v  During the Valedictory Function, Mr.A.M.S.G.Asokan, Managing Director, Arasan Fire Works,Sivakasi Delivered Valedictory Address. Dr.Perrys P.Mahendravel, Chairman, Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank Delivered Special Address. The best stall awards were given during the Valedictory Function.
