REPORT

 

Indexpo 2008, an Industrial Exhibition was organized by MADITSSIA during        13-16th December 2008 at Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai . It was supported by      ZDH-SEQUA and approved by ITPO, New Delhi . It was co-sponsored by MSME Development Institute, Chennai (MSME), National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC), Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation(TIIC Ltd), Tamilnadu Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd, (SIDCO) & Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).

 

MADITSSIA has vast experiences in conducting fairs.  Now INDEXPO is organized as Business to business fair with all kinds of industries participation. It is conducted with the aim of transfusion of technologies among industries and transmission of work to medium and tiny industries by small scale industries.

 

Indexpo was inaugurated on 12th December 2008 at 6.00 p.m. Mr.P.T.Krishnamoorthy, President, MADITSSIA, welcomed the gathering.          Mr. Rm. Lakshminarayanan, Chairman, Indexpo spoke about the exhibition.    Mr. S. Aravind, Advisor, Indexpo   spoke about the seminars planned in coherent with the fair. TANSTIA President, Mr.D.Gandhikumar offered felicitation. Chairman and Managing Director, TANSIDCO, Mr.D.Rajendran I.A.S., delivered Special address. Mr.K.Aludaiapillai, Former Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University inaugurated the Fair and delivered inaugural address. Hon.Secretary of MADITSSIA, Mr.P.Sitaraman, delivered vote of thanks. The Exhibitor Directory was released by Mr.D.Rajendran I.A.S., and the first copy of the same was received by MADITSSIA’s Past President, Mr. SV.Arunachalam.

 

This Exhibitor directory consists of details of all the exhibitors and articles on technical and Engineering Topics. This directory has a circulation of 5000 copies. This book will serve the visitors definitely as a reference book and the exhibitiors will be more benefited.

 

The fair has two types of stalls A/C and Non A/c bays.  There were 100 stalls.  The exhibitiors were from all over Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry .  Exhibitors had displayed all kinds of Engineering products, Pumps, Air Compressors, Motors, Lathes, Welding Machines, Carving Machines, Boilers, Generators, Invertors, Variable frequency controllers, Industrial Vacum Cleaners, Hydraulic Pumps, Trolleys, Hose Pipes, Bushes, Rubber Products, metallic meshes, Paper cup  machineries, Fire Proof wires etc.

 

Also, College students were encouraged to display their projects.

 

Only Business Visitors were allowed to visit the fair during business hours        (i.e., 11.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. ) to help the exhibitors. General Public visited the fair from 4.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. college students visited the Fair, Students were encouraged to visit this fair to inculcate entrepreneurship in them.

 

The datas of visitors were entered by the students of Lady Doak College .  About 25000 decision making Business Visitors visited the fair.  In coherent with the fair a one day seminar on “Lean Six Sigma for Business Process Improvement” was conducted on 15.12.2008 at MADITSSIA Hall from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.   Also a Seminar on Winning Tenders explaining the secrets of successful tendering was conducted on 16.12.2008 between 3.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The faculties of these Seminars were from Indian Statistical Institute, Coimbatore and from famous industries.  The delegates participated in this Seminar were very much benefited.

 

The exhibitors were very happy about the arrangements, publicity and the business enquiries they got. They enthusiastically expressed their feed back on the fair in the valedictory function.

 

The fairs valedictory function was held on 16th December 2008 at 6.00 p.m.   President, MADITSSIA, Mr.P.T.Krishnamoorthy did the welcome address. Ind-Expo Chairman, Mr.Rm.Lakshminarayanan presented a report on the Fair. Vice-President, TANSTIA, Mr.KR.Gnanasambandan offered felicitations. Zonal General Manager, NSIC Software Technology Park , Chennai, Mr.D.Mohan Raj delivered special address. MSME Development Institute, Director, Mr.S.Sivagnanam delivered Valedictory address. Mr. P. Sitaraman, Hon. secretary proposed a vote of thanks. 

 

The Press and media supported and encouraged the fair by wide coverage.

 

“The ladder to heaven is let down just when you are. Begin to climb at once. Hence, those who participated in the fair had really climbed their ladder to success.

Buyer Seller Meet 2008

Buyer Seller Meet 2008, a show case of MSME’S in South Tamilnadu organized during 22-24 January 2008 at Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai. The programme was supported by NSIC Ltd., MSME Development Institute Canara Bank, and SIDCO.The Buyer Seller Meet aimed at to bring MSME’s large industries houses, Railways, ICF, DGS&D, other Government Departments, PSU’s and others on a common platform for business promotion and to facilitate large industries in identifying prospective vendors.

There were 80 stalls in the Buyer Seller Meet in this Small Scale Industrialists, Government Departments, Public Sector Undertaking, Southern Railway, DGS&D, ICF, HVF BHEL, ISRO, COIR BOARD, SIDCO have displayed their products.

The Inaugural function was held on 22.01.08. SIDCO, Managing Director, Mr. D. Rajendran, I.A.S., inaugurated the Exhibition and told that a Separate small Scale Industrial Policy will be announced soon. In Tamilnadu there are 78 Industrial Estate and 7000 Industries are functioning and out of which a project of 10 Crores was generated. By the end of this year there are 22 new industrial estates will be established in Tamilnadu.

NSIC Ltd, Managing Director Mr. S.N. Singh released the Buyer Seller Meet Trade Directory. In his address, in India there are 25 lakhs registered Small Scale Units, which produces 40% of the production. SSI generates employment to 3.5 crores people.

ZDH/SEQUA Partnership Programme Project Co-ordinator Mr. Albort Over and Project Advisor Mr. Rolf Speit offered felicitations. Earlier, President MADITSSIA, Mr. P.T. Krishnamoorthy welcomed the gathering. Mr. V.S. Manimaran, Chairman, Buyer Seller Meet, on the Exhibition Mr. K.P. Murugan introduced the Chief Guest. Mr. V. Senthikumar, Presented the Mementos to the Guests Mr.G.R. Balakrishnan Joint Secretary Proposed a Vote of thanks.

On 23.01.08 one day Seminar on Product Purchasing and Procurement Producers was organized the seminar was inaugurated by Mr. John, Deputy Director General, DGS&D, the services were handled by the experts from DGS&D, BHEL, Southern Railways, Integral coach factory, Heavy Vehicles Factory etc.,

There is a separate ISRO Stall displaying the Satellites Rockets Vehicles, products etc. and a Visual demo on the functioning of Rockets, Satellites which attracted school children at larges. On 24.01.08 a seminar was organized exclusively for the engineering college students about the BHEL Activities and how to take up a career in engineering industry. More than 200 students were participated in the seminar.

The valedictory function was held on 24.01.08 in which Mr. Pandian, Assistant Commissioner, Madurai Corporation delivered the valedictory Address. Government Stalls were honoured with memento for their participation. Over 5000 visitors were visited the exhibition during the 3 days.


MADITSSIA'S 24th ALL INDIA
IDEAL HOME EXHIBITION - 2008
February 22nd to March 3rd 2008, Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai.


Maditssia 24th All India Ideal Home Exhibition was held between February 22nd to March 3rd 2008 at Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai. The fair was conducted in association with AIMO (All India Manufacturers Organisation), Chennai. Over 250 Stalls were put up in this Consumer Fair. The Product Display includes Electrical, Electronics Home Appliances, Consumer Durables, Textile & Readymade Garments, Automobiles, Food Products, Computers Health Equipments, Pharmaceuticals Products, Health Care Items, Furniture, Handloom, Fancy Toys, Beverages, Ice creams. The partcipants from all over Southern India took part in the Exhibition. Exhibition timings were 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. during Saturday & Sunday and weekly days daily in the evening 4.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

Inaugural Function:

On February 22nd 2008 fair was inaugurated by Shri. S.S. Jawahar, I.A.S., District Collector, Madurai and Felicitations by Mr. S.R. Nayak Deputy Director, KVIC & Mr. Vallar, Managing Director,TNTPO, Chennai. Earlier, Mr.P.T.Krishnamoorthy, President, MADITSSIA welcomed the gathering. Er.K.S.Serma Pandian, Chairman addressed about the Exhibition Arrangements.

Highlights of the Fair:

  1. Fully Airconditioned Stalls in Electronic Bay & Shopping Mall Bay.
  2. Other Non A/c Bay includes Shopping Mall, KVIC Bay, Tamilnadu Mahalir Thittam Bay.
  3. In Coherent with the fair, Agrotech’ 2008 and Care & Cure – 2008 Exhibition are organized.
  4. Daily Chief Guest from Various Government Department and leading industries were invited to visit the fair.
  5. Over 3 Lakhs visitors visited the Fair during the 11 days period.
  6. Daily Cultural Entertainment programmes performed by School students attracted the Visitors.
  7. Special zone for children for amusement games which attracted kids.
  8. Wide Publicity given through Media, Local Televisions, FM Radios, Hoardings Display, News Paper Advertisements, Auto & Bus Panel Advertisement created wide coverage of the event among the common Public.
  9. Best Stall Awards were given category wise, which is adjudged by team of Judges.
  10. Daily Lucky Draws conducted and Mega bumper prizes offered on the final day of the Exhibition.

The Valedictory Function of the Exhibition was held on 0303.08 Mr. K. Nandabalan,I.P.S., Madurai City Police Commissioner Participated in the function and distributed the Best Stall Awards. Mr. N.R. Subramania Raja, Past Chairman, AIMO offered felicitations. The Ideal Home Exhibition ended in a successful manner with great attraction to the Madurai People.

World Bread Day Celebrations
Bread Exhibition

 


MADITSSIA, Tamilnadu Bakery Federation and Madurai Bakers Association was jointly organised World Bread Day Celebrations during October 7-8' 2007 at Maditssia Hall, Madurai. During the Celebrations a Mini Exhibition containing Machinery Manufacturer Display, Raw Material Supplier and thanking the Tamilnadu Government for VAT Relief for Baker Products.

On 7th Oct' 2007, Bread Exhibition Display by various catering college students. The Bread Exhibition was inaugurated by worshipful major Ms. Thenmozhi Gopinathan Madurai Corporation. The various Bread Based Products were displayed in the Display Competition. The judges evaluated the Bread Based Display products by the catering college students and Awarded the Ranks for the Best Display.

A demonstration by Mr. Venkata Prakash, Anabalayam on the Bread Based Products for the House Wives was organised. More than 75 House Wives has participated in the program and get benefited.

 

Mini Exhibition


For the benefit of Bakers, Young entrepreneurs, a Mini Exhibition was organised in which the Machinery Manufactures, Bakery Raw Material Suppliers had displayed their products. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. M.S.Shah, Chairman Anna Fathima Institute of catering administration more than 25 stalls were displayed in the Exhibition.

 

Sale of Bread at a Concessional Rate


The Bread Display & Mini Exhibition which is very useful to the visiting public at large. In order to create awareness about bread products sale of bread at a concessional Rate of Rs. 5/- was sold and Jam for sales at Rs. 6/-

 

World Bread Day Celebration


On 8th Oct' 2007 World Bread Day Celebrations was organised and presided by Mr. S. Anburajan President, Tamilnadu Bakers Federation. In his presidential address he thanked the Tamilnadu Govt. and Honourable State Minister for commercial taxes for offered the VAT relief for Bakery Products. More 20,000 visitors visited the Bread Exhibition Display. Mr. S.N.M. Ubayadulla, State Minister for Commercial Taxes is his Keynote address, Due to the VAT implementation 19% of the revenue loss occurred every year. The bread and bun are manufactured from the same raw material. The tax relief for bread willl also extended to the bun which was consumed by the downtrodden people at large. The same tax relief for Bun which was demanded by the Bakers. The same matter will be discussed in the meeting of VAT Task Force implementation committee, which meeting was organised prior to the Budget Meeting every year.

In the same manner, the branded and unbranded products tax structure will also taken into consideration.

The government reduced the tax structure and the business people and Trades will have to increase the sales and also increase the payment of tax.

Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce president Mr. S. Rathinavel released the Souvenir and the first copy of the Souvenir received by Tamilnadu Bakers Federation Vice President Mr. Chinnappa. The Prizes for the participants of the Bread Display competition were given. Earlier, President, MADITSSIA Mr. P.T. Krishnamoorthy welcomed the gathering. Madurai Bakers Association President Mr. P. Mohana Sundaram addressed on the World Bread Day why it is celebrated all over the World. Tamilnadu Bakers Federation Hon. Secretary Mr. G. Muralidharan proposed the vote of thanks Bakers from all parts of Tamilnadu were participated in the Two days celebrations.
