With the great support of people of Madurai, Maditssia organized Ideal Home Exhibition which is a silver jubilee year from 12th February 2010 to 22nd February 2010 for a period of 11 days, the grand gala exhibition took place.

The Exhibition Includes house holds Equipments, Electrical & Electronic products, Readymade Garments for Men and Women Fancy & Make up Materials, Modern Furniture Handicrafts Items, Quality Food Products, Exercise and Fitness Equipments etc. A separate Bay exclusively for Automobiles is created all reading Automobiles in Madurai were Participated.

With different Infrastructure facilities and a Air-conditioned Bay, KVIC Bay, Women Self Help Group Bay, has attracted the visitors.

Special Games Arrangements for Children, Daily Cultural Programmes by School Students attracted the visiting crowds. Daily Lucky Draw is also organized with 10 different prizes. On the final day i.e., 22.02.2010 Mega Bumper Prizes is organized 1st Prize – Maruthi Car Sponsored by Pothis Madurai, 2nd Prize – 1 Lakh Worth Gold Articles Sponsored by Lalitha Jewellery, 3rd Prize – Honda Stunner Bike Sponsored by Kalyani Honda,

The Inaugural Function of the Exhibition was held on 12.02.2010 Honourable Minister for Aadhi Dravider Welfare Mrs.Tamilarasi Ravikumar Inaugurated the Exhibition. Construction of Permanent Exhibition Ground will help exports from Madurai. This will increase inclustrial prospects in the city. In this connection Honourable Union Minister for fertilizers Mr. M.K.Alagiri will take necessary stapes. TANSTIA President Mr.D.Gandhikumar delivered felicitations. In his address Madurai is attracting more investments. In sipcot Industrial Estate 30% of the plots is allocated for Small and Tiny Industries.

There are two big projects are coming in Manamadurai. This will give Employment Opportunities for 3000 People. The Industrial Climate of Madurai is improved with the establishment permanent exhibition centre similar to Bangalore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Madurai (RDO) Revenue District Officer Offered felicitations.

Earlier, President, Maditssia Mr.N.Somasundaram welcomed the gathering and presided over the function. Ideal Home Exhibition Chairman Mr.S.Anburajan explained in detail about the High Lights of the exhibition. Vice Chairman Mr.P.Surendran elaborated the Special Events of the Exhibition Mr.B.Muruganantham, Presented mementos to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries Mr.V.S.Manimaran, Hon. Secretary Maditssia proposed the vote of thanks.


BUYER SELLER MEET 2010

11 – 13 March 2010, Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai

MADITSSIA in association with National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC), Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Tamilnadu Small Industries Corporation (TANSIDCO), Tamilnadu Industrial Guidance Bureau, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, Canara Bank organized Buyer Seller Meet 2010 during March 11-13 at Tamukkam Grounds, Madurai. More than 100 Stalls/units participated in the Buyer Seller Meet. Buyers from Government Organisation like Southern Railway, BEML, DGS&D, Defence, BSNL, Port Trust, TNEB and Corporate companies like Ashok Leyland,, Fenner India Ltd, Sundaram Industries Ltd participated. In addition to the above, Rubber Park Madurai Ltd, Dindigul Engineering Cluster also participated. About 50 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises put up the stalls. The objective of the Buyer Seller Meet is to create opportunity for the MSME Sector to enroll as a supplier to Government of India Enterprises and Large scale industries.

The Buyer Seller Meet was inaugurated by Shri.S.Sivagnanam, Director, MSME Development Institute, Chennai. In his inaugural address he said that due to globalization small scale industry can compete with international companies without compromising the product quality, delivery on time and service. The raw material management, wastage minimization, Time Management, retaining the existing labour force will help in reducing the cost price of the products. Shri. B.T.Bangera, Managing Director, M/s. Hi-Tech Arai Ltd released the Buyer Seller Meet Visitors Guide and the first copy was received by Shri. Sachithanandam, President, M/s. Sundaram Industries Ltd. Mr. B.T.Bangera in his address said that, the production of goods at Zero Defect is very essential. This will help in reducing the cost price to compete with Multinational Companies. Earlier, Mr.P.Sitaraman, Vice-President, MADITSSIA welcomed the gathering. Mr.V.S.Manimaran, Chairman, Buyer Seller Meet, briefed about the highlights of the Exhibition. Mr.K.P.Murugan, Programme Co-ordinator highlighted about the Seminar on Product Purchasing and Procurement Procedure. Mr.J.Ashok, Programme Co-ordinator presented the mementos to the Chief guests. Mr.M.R.Rajendran, Programme Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks.

On 12th March 2010, “One Day Seminar on “Product Purchasing and procurement procedure” was organized. The Seminar was inaugurated by Mr.H.Nagesh, Assistant General Manager, Ashok Leyland Ltd, Chennai. Expert Faculties from BEML, DGS&D, Defence, TNEB, Southern Railways, Ashok Leyland highlighted the purchase policies and procedures and how to register and to become a Vendor in the respective organization. Officials from National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC), MSME Development Institute also highlighted the Schemes and Services. More number of delegates participated in the one day Seminar.

The valedictory function was held on 13.3.2010. SHRI.D. MOHANRAJ, Zonal General Manager (South-III), National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., Chennai participated in the Valedictory Function and offered Valedictory address. In his address he said that NSIC is giving financial assistance for the MSME Sector for participating in the International and National level Exhibition. In order to give fillip to the Rubber and plastic industries in Madurai, NSIC has decided to offer financial assistance for these industries. He added that necessary steps will be taken expand the Madurai Branch Services. TANSTIA Vice-President, Mr.KR.Gnanasambandan offered felicitation and said that the economic activities in Madurai is based on Meenakshi Temple. We have to create necessary infrastructure facilities for the visiting pilgrims to the temple. Then only tourism industries will cherish.

The Media Coverage about Madurai should focus on the development of industries. Then only the investment flow to industries in South Tamilnadu and starting of new industries in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu will improve with the help of Media support. Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank Director, Dr. Perrys Mahendravel in his special address emphasized on Swadeshi Products and it must be given due importance. The Participants from Various Government Establishment (Buyers) and Sellers were honoured. The feed back from the stall participants was encouraging. They have requested that MADITSSIA has to organize similar Buyer Seller Meet regularly for the benefit of MSME sector. Earlier President, MADITSSIA, Mr.N.Somasundaram, welcomed the gathering. Mr.V.S.Manimaran, Chairman, Buyer Seller Meet presented a report on the Buyer Seller Meet. Programme Co-ordinator Mr.N.Lakshmana Doss presented the mementos to the Chief Guests. Mr.G.R.Balakrishnan, Joint Secretary, MADITSSIA proposed a vote of thanks.
